Sunset Cruise in Split: A Local's Guide
By Paradise Charter · 2 June 2026 · 5 min read
A sunset cruise is the most-booked add-on we run and the one guests most often repeat. The trick is timing — leave too early and you sit around waiting; leave too late and you miss the golden hour off Čiovo. Here's how locals do it.
When to leave
Aim to push off the dock 75 minutes before sunset. That puts you anchored, drink poured, before the sky turns. Sunset times we plan around: late June ~20:30, late August ~19:45, September ~19:00.
Where we anchor
- Čiovo south side — west-facing, smooth water, the classic view.
- Off Marjan — closer to town, good if you're short on time.
- Šolta channel — quieter, slightly longer cruise, best on a still evening.
What we bring
A chilled bottle of Pošip from the Pelješac peninsula, a small charcuterie board, and music you control from your phone. Tell us if you'd like flowers or a cake on board for an occasion.
