Blue Lagoon Trogir: Best Time to Visit & Tour Tips

By Paradise Charter · 30 May 2026 · 6 min read

Twenty minutes by speedboat from Trogir, between Drvenik Veli and the Krknjaši islets, sits a shallow lagoon with a white sandy bottom that turns the water an impossible turquoise. It's the easiest swim spot to reach from Split airport and the best one for families with younger kids.

Best time to go

Go early. Group tours arrive around 11:00 and the lagoon can fill with thirty boats by lunch. We aim for an 08:30 departure from Trogir or a late slot from 16:00 onwards — both leave you near-empty water.

What's the lagoon like?

  • Maximum depth around 3 m at the centre — kids can stand at the edges.
  • Sandy bottom, no rocks or sea urchins.
  • One small konoba on Krknjaši with grilled fish, octopus salad and cold beer.

Pairing the lagoon with another stop

If you have a full day, continue south to Maslinica on Šolta — a fishing village with a row of seven islets and a small castle hotel. Or loop east to a quieter swim at Mavarštica before returning to Trogir.
