About the route
A private Blue Cave tour from Split with stops on Vis Island. The Blue Cave on Biševo glows electric blue when sunlight enters through an underwater opening and reflects off the white limestone floor. The effect is strongest around midday.
Vis stayed closed to tourism for most of the 20th century while it served as a military base, which kept its small fishing villages, vineyards and bays largely intact. The route covers Komiža harbour, the local food, and the wines made from Vugava and Plavac Mali grapes.
Itinerary
Enter the cave by tender and see the famous blue light from inside.
Short coffee break and walk in a working fishing village.
Anchored just outside the narrow gates of Stiniva for a swim in some of the clearest deep-blue water on the Adriatic.
Dry landing on the beach. Time to cool off, sit in the sun and snorkel in the shallow bay.
